Is anyone here a fan of the Amelia's Notebooks series by Marissa Moss? The books were originally published through American Girl but now is by Simon and Schuster.

The new Amelia books have her in Jr.High/Middle School but Simon and Schuster is re-releasing all the older Amelia books in hardcover through them, in some cases actually changing the titles of the books. When I was looking at them on amazon I thought they were all new books but they just changed the titles with the same content. I guess AG has some copywrights over some of the titles.

For example, "Amelia Takes Command" is being re-released as "Amelia's Bully Survival Guide" and "Amelia's Family Ties" is being re-released as "Amelia's Longest, Biggest, Most-Fights-Ever Family Reunion". It was also interesting to see that the new Amelia Books with her in 6th grade have a target age of 12+!

Is anyone else a fan of the Amelia books? I love the pictures she draws and the "hand-written" notebooks. When I become a teacher someday I would want to do an Amelia's Notebook project with my class.

Amelia was my favorite part of the old school American Girl magazine!

I love that the books look like composition notebooks.

I always liked the Amelia books. I have three of them, and my cousin (who thinks AG dolls are really creepy ) I know has a few others. I liked them before I even got Kit, I think.

I like the Amelia books a lot. I think they are very fun and clever. I was wondering what happened to them. I was just at Barnes and Noble and saw a couple on the shelf. I was surprised because I thought that they were totally out of print. I am glad to see that they are coming back with a new publisher.
